TO ALL CURRENT AND FUTURE CUSTOMERS IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC:
We have been a small family owned business here on the North Coast for more than 50 years.
We try our best to make your stay in our modest and clean accommodations as comfortable as possible so you can enjoy time with your family and friends. Right now
we are very grateful to live behind the Redwood Curtain, where local destinations remain open to foot traffic while maintaining the recommended social distance of
6 feet from other people. We all have family and friends who are not so fortunate to live in such a relatively low impacted area, and our thoughts and prayers are
with them in this difficult time. As of July 1, 2020 there are 113 documented cases of Coronavirus in Humboldt County, with 4 deaths. We will keep our
website updated with regard to these developments.
HERE AT SYLVAN HARBOR WE ARE MAKING THE FOLLOWING CHANGES WITH YOUR SAFETY AND HEALTH IN MIND:
WHEN YOU BOOK: We want you to know that we are monitoring the World Health Organization (WHO),
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local health agencies for the latest developments related to COVID-19 and following the guidance of government
and public health officials. **This includes observing the current restrictions of NO SHORT-TERM (less than 30 days) RENTALS until our business is certified with the Humboldt County Health department to re-open (which is possible as of June 12, 2020). The
exception to this rule is if you are considered an ESSENTIAL WORKER or are engaged in ESSENTIAL TRAVEL. If you would like to rent with us short-term please contact us via phone or Airbnb message
in order to verify the reason for your travel and whether it is considered "ESSENTIAL". As of July 1, 2020 we remain un-certified to re-open to the general public.
DURING YOUR STAY: We ask that you be respectful of others in observing "social distancing" of 6 feet.
We are daily cleaning the laundry room, restrooms, and office and ask that you contribute to keeping these areas sanitized. We have moved the mailboxes into the office
in the main house where you can pick up invoices, drop off checks and pick up your mail everyday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM without direct human contact if you so choose. In the event we are able to begin renting cabins again we
commit to sanitizing all surfaces and linens after each stay. We anticipate implementing earlier check-out and later check-in times to help with increased cleaning efforts beyond our already thorough procedures.
